Liam Wong is an Art Director at Ubisoft in the video games division, who’s taking some video game influenced photos over seas. He takes most of the photos all over Tokyo with the occasional photo from London thrown in the mix. The photos are unique and remind me of almost every dystopian society depicted in films from the early 80s to the mid 90s. While cycling through his work, it is also easy to pick up on the narrative centered around the use of neon advertisement in Japan. In parts of the city, streets are completely covered from ground to sky with neon signs and flashing lights. Liam is clearly a talented photographer and has a strong following on his Instagram, where you can also find more of his photography. He also has a ton of his work in print format that you can find on his Society6.
